the past three months or so i have been on a huge downswing. i've never lost this much in my poker career, and i believe i am at the point where i need to be a bit more disciplined and get back into improving my game. i have had my share of downswings and i know the pain of bad variance. i have been playing 25/50nl heads up and shorthanded and have been running bad and making too many mistakes and the swings are getting to me. i believe i'm due for some change, but in the mean time i need to make...

I recently got back to Tucson from a week-long vacation in New York City. I went with two of my friends from high school who I haven't got to hang out with in a while. I had a blast... It was probably the best trip I've ever been on because we laughed a lot and did so many cool things: conan o'brien with guests seth rogan and al green, went to the top of the empire state building, took the subway everywhere, went to tom's restaurant (from seinfeld), walked the brooklyn bridge, went to wall street...

I haven't posted a blog in a while, so he is a little update...

Last week Beck, Elliz, Dubs, JP and I flew to Vegas to stay with Sheep, The Leaf, and the Othmule. It was a nice Zonacrew reunion and I had a good time. We played a couple home games (dealers choice- plo or nlhe), played online sessions and did some Vegas things. The Beatles Love show was amazing, I would recommend seeing that.

I played 5/10 at the Venetian and lost a grand. I won a big pot with AK...

Last Thursday Brent (bdubs), JP (keonip), and I went on a 4-day camping adventure on the Mogollon Rim near Payson, AZ.

Highlights:

- We found a perfect location right near the lake and away from the other campers.
- Watching JP and Brent reel in some nice rainbow trout, unfortunately I didn't catch one single fish.
- Cooking over the campfire.
- One evening we got to see a bunch of elk walking around in the forest.
- It was freezing cold...
